How did ThinkImpact influence your path?
ThinkImpact helped me think more critically about how communities can create solutions to problems by collaborating and pooling their resources. I really benefitted from practice my language skills and working in a team-setting. I draw on these experiences from Panama in my daily work.
Project | Trash Collection
The Trash Collection Service aims to provide community members an alternative to burning or burying their trash by collecting trash once a week and bringing it to a nearby trash collection facility. Every Monday morning, the team brings trash to the local trash collection facility, charging families 0.75 or one dollar per week for the service (depending on their distance from the facility). The team hopes to improve the service and then expand to nearby communities on the way to the trash facility.
