8-Day Panama Institute for Social Innovation
In collaboration with George Mason University, our award-winning curriculum guides scholars through a creative learning process focused on social entrepreneurship, giving them clear actions to take and provoking thoughtful reactions and insights along the way. The ultimate goal of the program is to learn through collaboration. To accomplish this, participants build a team with locals, university students, and professionals to formulate ideas on how to improve quality of life in the local community via technology and education. Prior to arrival in Panama, scholars will catalyze the social innovation process by engaging with local community members. This unique extended timeline will maximize relationship-building, knowledge-sharing, and creative problem-solving.
March 9 - 17, 2019
Before arrival, scholars will have the opportunity to communicate with Panamanian partners in order to get a head-start on the social innovation process. Scholars will collaborate with and learn from locals while brainstorming and building community projects with a special focus
on education and technology.
