Xuchil Products produces high quality organic foods sourced from the Oaxacan countryside, such as mesquite flour, a gluten-free superfood. The group seeks to supply their products to bakeries, restaurants, and natural food stores in Oaxaca, Mexico City, and beyond.
Current customers consist of five natural food stores and three restaurants in Oaxaca City, three bakeries in Mexico City. While the first product was mesquite flour, the group has since developed a number of derivative products such as cookies (already for sale) and prototypes of butter, ice cream, beer, tortillas, jelly, and a concentrated extract for flavoring.
Imminent Roadblocks: The high cost of production due to slow drying technology, significant loss of raw material due to pests and humidity, lack of knowledge of the product among their target market segment.
