ThinkImpact Panama has been operating since 2013.
Panama as a country is divided into nine provinces or regions. ThinkImpact Panama operates in the Cocle region, whose capital, Penonome, is located two hours away from Panama City. All ThinkImpact communities within this region are located less than two hours away from Penonome and less than 4 hours away from Panama City.
The rural villages where we work are home to from 150-500 community members. In 2015, ThinkImpact worked in three communities in Cocle: El Cocal and Piedras Gordas. In 2016, we will carry on work in El Cocal and Piedras Gordas in addition to the communities of Las Delicias and Calabazo.
Each year, our in-country team executes site visits and meetings with community leaders to evaluate our impact and explore new partnerships.
After exploring historic Panama City, you will take a boat to one of the islands, where you can hang out in the clear waters and go on a snorkel tour to a shipwreck or visit an indigenous Kuna community.
You will go ziplining over the mountains, swim at a waterfall or a natural pool, go hiking or just relax.
