ThinkImpact Rwanda has been operating since 2012.
Nicknamed the Land of a Thousand Hills, Rwanda is a small landlocked country in East Africa. ThinkImpact works in the Eastern Province, about 60 km from the capital city, Kigali. ThinkImpact currently works in three communities in the Rwamagana District in the Eastern Province.
Since the start of our work in Rwanda, ThinkImpact Rwanda has enabled people living in these communities to transform and improve their lives through business innovation. As of 2014, ThinkImpact currently has 21 small enterprises (called design teams) operating in the Rwamagana District.
Scholars will stay in the coastal town of Gisenyi for two nights at the Stipp Hotel, which is located on the beach of Lake Kivu. Scholars will be allowed to use the beach as part of their stay, and will be given passes to the pool. The beach is big enough for volleyball and soccer as well as to enjoy live music.
